Hello internets! Did you miss me? Perhaps not; there’s many a thing worth missing (Pushing Daisies, the original Spice Girls, Girl Scout cookies – why didn’t I stock up on Thin Mints, why???), so no worries if I didn’t make it to the top o’ your list.

But I missed all of you! Sorry for being so absent this past week (both from this blog and commenting on all of yours’), but the level of busy work has reached never-before-imagined heights! It’s pretty much the equivalent of Pope Julius II going up to Michelangelo and saying, “Hey, Mike. Remember that Sistine Chapel idea we’ve been batting around in our brains these past few years? Well, I’m going to need some pretty detailed plans of what you want to paint by next week. With all the colors categorized. And measurements. No hurry, but I need everything by Friday. Oh yeah, and I’ve decided to nix the kangaroo idea. “

It’ll all be worth it in the end, because we’re doing something pretty darn-tootin’ amazing. But for now I go to sleep every night and dream about dinosaurs wearing marching band uniforms while listening Edison records and pedaling Penny-farthing bicycles (really makes you wonder what I do, doesn’t it?)

P.S. Did you check out the new header? Snazz to the Z. Chelsie has some awesomesauce skills.

  1. I missed you! Does the fact that I am commenting here immediately convince you? Truth be told, I’ve been refreshing my google reader repeatedly tonight as I look for a break from studying the gender of nouns auf Deutsch, so thanks for providing a bit of a distraction!

Love the header and the outfit! How DID you find a bead that looks exactly like a grape?! : )

  2. I positively love your new layout and header. Especially the header. And the fact that the comments button is at the bottom of posts (I would always forget and get confused, haha).

Anyways, super cute outfit. I want that necklace so badly.

  3. That skirt is so pretty. Boo for busy work. I hope you get a break soon. I know I’m going to need my next day off.

  4. I’m loving that skirt! And il papa terribile references, as well as Monty Python, always get some love from me!

  5. hahaha just last night my boyfriend was rooting around looking for a snack, and he yelled out of the pantry “Kelly? Do you realize how many boxes of thin mints you have stored up here?” and I said “YOU HAVE TO STOCK UP IT ONLY HAPPENS ONCE A YEAR!”

If it helps, a while ago I saw some pretty blatant GS knockoffs at Dollar General. I didn’t try them, but if you having a craving…

  6. Love the header, love the necklace, love Monty Python, and love kangaroos. Stupid Pope and his getting rid of them. Who DOES that?! I always knew there was a reason I was underwhelmed by the Sistine Chapel. The Fifteen(th) Chapel is MUCH more my style!
