I went with another simple outfit today, and wore another DIY necklace combination inspired from magazine advertisements.
- Purple Top – Smart Set
- Dress Pants – Suzy Shier
- Necklace – Self-assembled
Today I wore glasses. I made salsa yesterday. To make salsa I sliced a pepper. The grocery store description said it was a mild chili pepper. My hands started burning about an hour afterward. Luckily I never touched my eyes. S. had to take out my contacts last night. He got both out in less than two tries! Moral of the story – wear gloves when cutting chili’s. Sadly, I think this knowledge existed in the back of my brain, but I put all my faith in the grocery store description.
Looking like a millisaurus!
I put together this necklace using three pearl necklaces, and some chains:
- White Pearls – Gifted
- Purple Pearls – Purchased
- Multi-Colour Strand – World Market
- Multi-Strand Chain – Thrifted
- Silver Necklace (holding them together) – Purchased
Note the silver necklace in the back, clasping the two parts together and elongating.
I linked them all using a combination of their clasps. I was actually going to wear it short, but it was quite choker-ish, and choking me. So I was able to put this silver necklace though each side, and clasp it, making it longer.
The necklaces I wove together (minus the silver one clasping them together).

Love the necklace! And, even more, love happy Chelsie pictures!
These pictures are really, really great. As is that DIY necklace.
Well you have seriously got the neckwear down for sure! I love your pearls and chains, but I have a feeling if I tried this it would end up a jumbled mess :/
It really wasn’t as difficult as you’d think to disentangle. It only took me a minute and I didn’t encounter any problems. I thought it would be worse. I actually took the pictures of the all the different necklaces apart about a minute after it was all together.
These pictures are adorable! I’m glad your eyes are okay, and I’m glad you showed us this fabulous necklace!
thats a really nice idea to mix it up like this, love it!
