Seeing the dresses along with their titles, I kept going “Oh yeah, that’s totally Emily Dickinson/Frieda Kahlo/Mary Cassatt, but I wonder if I’d just seen the dresses and been asked to name the inspiration if I could have done it. What I like about all of them is that they incorporate elements of dress that aren’t so typically “bridal,” while still looking like wedding dresses. And now I really want a big, poofy cape-like jacket.
