You know me already though because I comment sometimes… I’m the fanatical New Zealand Dutchie trying to cram an insane amount of craft, cooking, travel, writing and photography between the gaps of work and family life as is humanly possible.
I squish my kids into following these passions when I can too, so that they can hopefully learn that the world is amazing and that life is for getting out there and doing something constructive with.
My ever-patient Himself is usually dragged behind in the ensuing whirlwind, tidying up after us all, reigning in my wilder tangents, knowing where the important stuff is and happily helping plan our next holiday adventures.
I live in the Netherlands but have logged in here from S’pore, Portugal, France, Germany and New Zealand (as any fanatical blogger naturally does).
Carry on Katie, Millie, Chelsea & Sarah…I’m very much looking forward to the next 500 posts!!!

Ok, so being called out as a lurker has prompted me to de-lurk.
Your blog has been such a wonderful escape and source of joy for me!! I discovered it quite recently while on bedrest from a few injuries that left me unable to laugh, hold up a hardcover book, or move much at all. In the past month, I’ve read your entire blog!I Thank you so much for giving me even more design and crafting ideas (as I’d recently been sorting through old clothes I plan to make into new ones) and for your perfect mix of storytelling, academia, and fashion….. cause I’m all about the funky self expression, but love geeking out in discussions about ethics, gender roles, history,etc. as well.
So anyway, before I get too gushy (I’m the kind of girl who, true story, waited outside in the rain to meet Mika* after his concert, and when shaking his hand, told him it was nice to meet a “kindred idealist soul”… yup), I’ll peace out of here, but leave ya with a fun link to give back.
