Welcome to my hallway. And by hallway, I mean alcove. And by alcove, I mean vestibule. And by vestibule, I mean the slight dent in the wall between my door and coat closet.
It was even colder today than yesterday, so I found a place to take my photos indoors. Yes, the lighting is much better outdoors, but every vanity has its limit and mine is when my nostrils freeze shut.
So here I am, a blogger against a white wall. Sort of like those paintings of white cows in snow storms, except slightly easier to spot.
When I put on the blazer this morning, I started with just one pin. But, much like chocolate chip cookies, viewings of Bridget Jones’ Diary, and Backstreet Boys reunion tours, one just isn’t enough.
I know I’m not the only blogger out there with an evil-looking animal pin (my mouse has demon eyes). I vote that for a future Everybody, Everywear. Eh, eh?
And here’s where my camera decided to go all blurry on me:
And here’s where gravity decided to abandon me:
Oh, gravity, thou art a heartless bi#@h.
Do you ever overload on the accessories? What do you think: tacky, awesome, or tackily awesome?
30 Day No Repeats: Day 29

I tend to overload on the rings and bangles. It never would’ve occurred to me to go all out with brooches, but this is pretty awesome. Great look!
Pretty awesome. I also enjoy the mixing metals and the neutral palette.
Yay! I like how you’ve bedazzled your blazer with little delights! Also the belted blazer makes you look teeny tiny and like a Mad Men lady! Just lovely!
Oooh I love the brooch overload! I’m usually pretty minimal on the accessories, but I like the look of piling them on. Maybe I need to bust out of my comfort zone.
Tacky? No way, super fun! I love lapels covered in pins, it just makes me want to get super close and take a look at them … but not in an intrusive way, of course. I have more tact than that.
My mouse pin isn’t fluffy, but he does look possessed! EBEW for sure!
Nostrils freezing shut is a reasonable limit. I like your pieces of flair. I think the minimum number is 37, though.
I decided after living for 2 and a half long years in Minnesota that humans really do not belong in places where it gets cold enough for body parts to freeze. I’m thinking warm thoughts for you.
Also, I love the brooches! That reminds me I need to pull out my vintage Trifari pin; it’s a cat with big white bulging eyes, and I’m certain it could be considered evil-looking.
That sounds deliciously evil-looking.
I love the jaunty cap and dazzling pins! I’m now on a hunt for a demonic animal pin. I can’t believe I don’t have one yet!
Abandoned? Nay! Gravity’s merely trying to embrace you more fully.
It’s fun that your outfit is sleek and almost minimalist aside from the lapels. That lets your pins take the spotlight and prevents you from looking too “busy.” Says me. =)
I like the bling overload…because you have MANY interesting pieces.
