Presents for Everyone! (Well, Three of You)

I was a very, very bad Santa this year.

It took me FOREVER to craft the traditional handmade-with-love-because-I’m-thoughtful-and-poor gifts for my dearest, darlingest Interrobangs ladies, and then FOREVER for me to actually mail them out (but they’re coming! Pinky swear!). Of course, I still haven’t taken my Christmas tree down yet, so apparently this is just par for my course. Christmas all year ’round!

And along with making presents for my fabulous sister-bloggers, I went and made some presents for you (well, possibly), because I adore you all so.

Let’s show them what they could win, Stan.*

Gift Pack #1

Vintage Cast Iron Heart Necklace with a Pink Opal Briolette on Sterling Silver

So Opal-y!

White, Grey, Purple, and Lime Floral Silk Scarf

Gift Pack #2

Vintage Ethiopian Brass Beads Necklace on Sterling Silver

Vintage Copper and Slate Blue Floral Chain-Link Silk Scarf

Gift Pack #3

Peridot and Czech Glass Morse Code “Yes” Necklace on Sterling Silver

Slate Blue Silk Scarf

Not shown for each gift pack: an oh-so-lovely vintage handkerchief and a brooch of a pretty and possibly silly nature.

Want to win?

I was tempted to demand you all write haikus about why I’m awesome, but I’m not that conceited…yet.

Instead, all you have to do is leave a comment by the end of Sunday, February 27th. And one comment is all you need. I’m avoiding the “for extra entries” game because that just makes more math for Katie, and all the counting cuts into my knee sock drawer organizing time (and if you don’t find that fun, you’re not doing it right).

I’ll randomly draw three winners (and the drawing is open to everyone everywhere), and send your presents both post haste and toot suite! Happy Christmas…erm…whenever.

P.S. Just because I’m not requiring haikus, it doesn’t mean I won’t appreciate the effort if you’re inspired. Brownie points always count, duckies.

*Stan is the Vanna to my Captain Kangaroo. That’s how this gameshow rolls.

  1. Ooh, these are lovely!
The “Yes” necklace is the best.
    Fantastic colors.

    Katie, your style is
    inspiring and we wear the
    very same size, too!

    You are much taller
than I’ll ever be, but I
    can still learn a lot.

  2. Interrobangs Anonymous
    Are a team synonymous
With style, much of it thrifted
The are mix and match gifted

Now they wish to give a prize
    I’m not one to chastise
But I do wonder completely rational?
    Do you do International?

That little heart, the one with opal
(from OZ I think, not Constantinople)
    Is certainly quite a prize
It’s caught my heart, caught my eyes

Win or loose, it matters not
Your blog is still really hot
Who will win? only time will tell
Good luck to all, I wish you well!

  3. I suck at poetry, especially haikus… but I’m laid up now, so a package would be the highlight of a very dull day!

  4. Oh those are so pretty!
You are all lovely and talented!
It’s actually Valentine’s Day 2.0 here, so I’ll be DIY-ing the Morse Necklace regardless :)
    Thank you ladybugs :*

  5. oh man, everyone’s making haikus. And I don’t even really know what the definition of one is, so none from me I’m afraid! thank you for this giveaway, you made some awsome stuff! pack number one is my fave!

  6. @Franca – In case you’re wondering, Haiku is a Japanese poetry form where the lines are made up of 5, then 7, and then 5 syllables.

Consider the 40s song MOONLIGHT IN VERMONT:
    “Pennies in a stream,
    Falling leaves of sycamore,
    Moonlight in Vermont.”

They can be tricky to write, but still fun to try.

    I liked #1 as well!

  7. Such pretty parcels!
    Beautiful things to delight
    The lucky winners.

    How’s that?

  8. Oh Interrobangs!
    Anyone would be lucky
    To win these jewelzz.*

    And as for Katie,
    My lovely dino necklace
    Says hello to you.

*I may only get 5 syllables, but I can use as many Zs as I’d like! :)

  9. Wow! What lovely giftpacks!! I’m inspired to try a Haiku…

    I am glad to hear
    Canadians can apply
    To win pretty things

  10. Blog stalker am I
    Coveting beautiful things
    Winning would be grand

(Sorry, my English degrees didn’t come with an automatic poetic license!)

  11. I covet that heart
Necklace, though I don’t tend to
    Like heart-shaped trinkets!

  12. I’m not good with haiku so I wrote a limerick…
There once was a girl with curly hair
Who made presents that made me stare
    She writes really well
    And is funny as hell
These gifts show us that she cares

  13. Please won’t you pick me?
Nothing but bills in the mail,
    a change would be nice.

  14. Instead of writing a haiku, I thought I could share a fun article I found while I was googling how to write a haiku:

    http://www.stltoday.com/entertainment/books-and-literature/book-blog/article_75c58829-afdf-5d19-8633-120a11378973.html

  15. What a fabulous giveaway! I’m no good at haikus, sorry!

  16. You say a pretty,
    possibly silly nature.
    I say, “possibly”?

    Silly style blogs
    are quite the best-of-all-blogs.
    O, Interrobangs!

  17. Instead of writing a haiku
    or perhaps a limerick
    i
    decided
    to
    write a free verse poem.
    i hope
    that it will be
    acceptable
    and perhaps even
    win
    me
    a
    prize :)

  18. I never comment,
    except when there are presents.
    I’m shameless, I know.

  19. I am the worst at haikus. No, really. But, I will shamelessly tell you how pretty your hair has been looking lately. So pretty.

Also, that copper and slate scarf is heavenly.

  20. SCARVES *asplode* I love the floral one. And the vintage one. Okay, and the blue one.

    CAUTION: terrible poem ahead.

There once was a woman named Katie
who lives in a state that’s freezing
but we like the written word
    which makes us both nerds
So someday I’ll have to visit-y.

  21. Ok, so not the greatest haiku up here, but here goes:

    What a great idea
    Saying “yes” in a necklace
    How I love it so!

  22. I’m coveting those
    silk scarves, though my collection,
    it is enormous.

    (Thanks all to Katie,
    whose thrifted beauties inspired
    thrifting of my own.)

Sadly, there’s no ironic turn to the last lines, but it’s the best I could do when I’m missing the beginning of Community. :)

  23. in cloudy water
    my reflection disappears
    opal emerges

  24. I am not up for haiku right now, so how about pleading?
    Oh please oh please?
I crave new accessories to reinvigorate my wardrobe / life.

  25. Necklaces and Scarves
    What a magnificent treat!
    Katie is rockin’

  26. Katie is so hot
    That’s really all I’ve got
    I suck at Haiku

  27. I haven’t laughed this hard in awhile. Your readers are freaking great!
Alas, all I have to give is this measly comment.

  28. Slowly coming spring
Gifts warm the heart– a perfume
    from the smiles in bloom

  29. Looks and brains collide
Smart dresser with a great style
    See what I did there?

    Her hands are so skilled
    Creativity abounds
    Gifts are works of art

    Skills and looks and brains
    Katie’s got it going on
    She’s a triple threat

  30. If only I had the
    time to compose more prose
    then I would write…….
    one more syllable.
I love all of the scarves.

  31. I’m such a bad commenter lately. And I feel guilty for commenting only to get a prize :/

    Oh, you fabulous bloggers!
    These beautiful gifts
please, oh please, send them my way.
    :-)

  32. And since I just came up up with a pretty bad Limerick, here it is:

There once was a blogger named Katie
She always was dressed like a lady.
    Her fabulous style
    Was almost divine,
Oh, she’s givin’ away a scarf slaty!
