Thursday Links

The on-going issues of trans-inclusiveness in the Michigan’s Womyn’s Musical Festival.

REALLY? We’re still going to talk about vaginas (vaginae? vaginæ?) this way?

Is anything inside a tortilla delicious?

The Unintentional Rapist? Which leads us to…

An oldie but an important one: Schrodinger’s Rapist.

This singing trout is hysterical. And Katie’s pretty sure this is how she’ll hear that song from now on.

Leslie at Two Whole Cakes‘ (reprint) post about why the world needs fat acceptance is a must read. (Millie is also very amused that there’s a magazine called Geez.)

“In Jesus’ name, boogity, boogity, boogity Amen.” Praying NASCAR style.

The Waves’ two posts on sustainable style are must reads, and jesse.anne.o’s reply post about the footprint of vegan “leathers” is well worth a read too.

  1. Reading some of the comments on that trans-inclusiveness article make me feel so tired and sad.

  2. thank you, thank you, thank you for the Schrondinger’s Rapist article. It says something very clearly that I have been trying to explain to someone I know.

  3. I saw that Summer’s Eve commercial during previews at the movie theater, and I’ve NEVER seen an audience react so negatively. It made me feel better about Americans.

Thank you so much for posting Shrodinger’s Rapist. I’d never seen it.

I just discovered the Waves’ posts through jesse.anne.o. It seems like so many of us are stuck in this style vs. scruples trap and unsure how to proceed….
