The knowledge that “pink is for girls” is a relatively recent social construct isn’t new, but this post by Peggy Orenstein sums it up nicely.

Anthroparodie is hilarious and hits the mark perfectly.

Proof that not all Victorians were dour! Some even *gasp* smiled! Others put things on their chest like Katie sometimes does!

So apparently Hugh Jackman, Baz Luhrmann Robert Pattinson once did karaoke together in Japan. Millie would pay good money to’ve seen that.

  1. I will love that Peggy Orenstein post until I die.
MISS REPRESENTATION! The trailer makes me want to cry my eyes out AND high five people. Conflicted!

    Anthroparodie IS dead on.

Had to smile right back at the smiling Victorians. Especially the ones who stacked up their heads Awkward-Family-Photo style.

For the first time, karaoke sounds promising.

    Good call, A.!

I always feel dopey commenting on your Thursday Links posts, but I want you to know that I appreciate them and am always tickled pink(er) by something you share.

  2. Thanks Interrobangs Peeps. Thanks for another fantastic list of what should be required reading for all. I can’t pick a fave, but I am totally linking to the Orenstein post over on FB!
