The best way to describe the plaid of this shirt is emo rainbow. All the colors are there, you know they’re not thrilled about it by their muted tones.
When I put this shirt in my closet, I’m pretty sure it hangs out in the corner, away from the bright-colored clothing, and listens to Dashboard Confessional while writing bad poetry.
To try to counter the emo tendencies, I paired the shirt with my giant rhinestone peacock pin. I hope it made the shirt just a little happier. Because, let’s face it. If rhinestone peacock pin can’t make you happy, you’re not just emo, you’re dead inside.

Maybe the plaid colors aren’t emo–maybe they’re just tired and taking a nap! That peacock is a good way to wake them up, though.
Hot damn. That peacock pin is way way too fabulous. I love that you let it shine in the face of your emo flannel.
Ha! That’s how I feel about plaid too. Hopefully that pin cheered the shirt up, because it is really fabulous.
