Katie Style: Green Around the Edges

  • Trench – Old Navy
  • Dress – eloquii
  • Scarves – thrifted
  • Shoes – Softwalk

Three ways in which I’m a rebel today:

  1. Wearing a sleeveless dress and open-toe shoes in March
  2. Wearing three silk scarves
  3. Wearing my “Friday” underpants on a Tuesday

One of the above can’t be explained by global warming. But which one?

I also had a Cadbury Egg for breakfast. But that’s not rebellion, that’s just delicious.

Green: Everybody, Everywear

P.S. Remember way back when I wore multiple shades of green and got all nerdy about it?

  1. That scarf is BEAUTIFUL! I love a great thrifted find! Looks great with that trench, too!

  2. Haha! I love that you had to add that you had a Cadbury Egg for breakfast. Perfect :)

Those scarves are beautiful! I LOVE thrifting silk scarves :)

  3. That is three scarves tied together?! Genius! Now I need to try that on my own. I love the way it looks on you. And that green trench is so fun. – Katy

  4. That is a great trench!!

  5. I had Twix for breakfast. It was in an Easter wrapper, so that’s pretty much the same thing, right?

  6. LOVE this trench & scarf combination! How jaunty for spring. (And I am feeling guilt about global warming while I’m soooooo excited about wearing lightweight and springy clothes in March…)

  7. Now I feel like a moron because I also own a lovely green canvas trench from ON (possibly the same one because it is the exact same shade of green), actually WORE it to take my kids to school this morning and then promptly forgot about it this afternoon when I took my blog pictures. Duh.

Since Cadbury Eggs are a limited-time-only item, it is perfectly acceptable to eat them any time of the day or night. (That is a rule I just made up but it sounds good to me; I am obsessed with Little Debbie Marshmallow Spring Puffs – only sold this time of year – and I eat them for breakfast sometimes.)

  8. Three scarves?! Wow, I’m impressed with your scarfery. Yeah I know that’s not a word, but it should be. And my guess is that wearing said scarves has nothing to do with global warming (because clearly it plays a role in underpants choosing). Anyway, you look adorable!

  9. oh gee, you always have such great ideas for scarf mixing- tying 3 scarves together is genius! Great coat too!

  10. A Cadbury egg for breakfast! Now that you have your scarves all knotted together, are you going to escape over that balcony?

  11. Great scarves–and I love the shape of the dress, too, even if it is a little unusual to be going sleeveless in March!

  12. Gorgeous – I love this mix of colours!
