Happy Halloween, everyone! Halloween isn’t really done in Germany, so there’s no fun dressing up today. I do plan, however, on taking chocolate to my German language class. Which will, no doubt, lead to another lecture by my instructor on why American are all so fat…
The Rocket Scientist and I honeymooned our way through Canada, with stops in Toronto, Quebec City, and Montreal. Here’s what I discovered at a rest stop in Quebec:
1) Dinosaurs!
2) Humidity + short, curly hair doesn’t always work
3) T.R.S. Would Lose a Dinosaur Wrestling Match
4) Canada’s mis-guided belief that “dill pickle” is an acceptable flavor for ANYTHING continues.
5) That T.R.S. LIKES dill pickle as a flavor. I don’t know who I married…
6) That it’s a good thing to marry someone who wears roughly the same shirt size you do, because then you can steal their shirts and double both your wardrobes. I think this is an excellent plan, but I haven’t been able to convince T.R.S. to wear any of my shirts yet…
- Shirt – The Rocket Scientists, via JCrew (actually his wedding shirt!)
- Cardigan – thrifted
- Pants – Foxy
- Invisible shoes – Dansko

I like the French version of dill pickle Doritos even better– “Cornichons intenses” sounds pretty awesome. But ew. I love the husband’s shirt on you
I like the Lays Dill Pickle potato chips… but it sounds bizarre in Doritos. Oh! I just tried buffalo bleu cheese Combos last night… awesome!
I can’t wear Hubby’s shirts… he is exaggeratedly “man-shaped”, and I am exaggeratedly “woman-shaped”. Which does not look good in man-clothes…. So I’m a bit envious of your ability to look cute in your husband’s clothes!
I’d eat dill pickle dip anytime but as a chip? Interesting.
You guys don’t have dill pickle chips? WHAAAAT? They are gross and horrifying, but it’s nice to have them as an option (there’s pickle dip too for your Rip-L-Chips). In Australia I found ‘bacon and egg’ chips… not that bad actually. I want to hear more about your life in Germany! Because you’re on a Love Adventure and I think that’s great!
Oh, dear – although I love dill pickle, I can’t say I’ve had the nerve to try anything ‘chippy’ in that flavour. Better that, though, than KETCHUP which is the THE most popular chip flavour here in NS.
