Reupholstery Renewal!

We got a new dining room set a couple weeks ago, and reupholstered the chairs. They didn’t have any padding before, and the original horsehair covers were still underneath the newer cloth cover. I had to clean the dining room set because it was in a dusty shed for the past year or so, and shine it up with orange oil (you can also use lemon oil). The wood is oak, just like the wood floor.

We got 1 1/2″ foam cut the size of the chair cover, and cut the fabric a bit bigger so that we had room to staple it to the bottom of the chair. Reupholstery tip 1: Make sure to centre your design. Reupholstery tip 2 – Staple gun. Reupholstery tip 3 – Easier with a partner who can pull the fabric tight and help make the corners straight.
